Version Info: This is the ARF PLUS version for pilots who wish to install their own power system. All primary electronics including servos and landing gear retracts come pre-installed, just add your own power system (EDF, motor, and ESC) to begin flying.
The Avanti S is one of the most popular RC sport jets in the hobby, and now it’s bigger, faster and more capable than ever! The new Freewing Avanti S 90mm grows the popular Avanti S airframe to a 1380mm (54.3 in) wingspan and a 1460mm (57.5 in) length. That gives it more presence on the flight line and in the sky, plus the planted, locked-in feel that comes with a jet this size.
The ARF Plus version arrives with everything installed except the power system, so you can set up the Avanti S with your preferred 12-blade 90mm EDF, motor and ESC. The airframe is designed around 6S and 8S 90mm EDF setups, and with Freewing’s factory power systems it can be off the ground in as little as 15m (49 ft), with top speeds reaching 190–200 km/h (118–124 mph). Fast passes are crisp and precise, and the rolls are axial. When it’s time to slow down, the Avanti S has good stall manners and holds a smooth line on low, slow approaches.
Under the foam, the Avanti S is engineered for strength and rigidity. The hollow main wing is built around a carbon fiber square tube and a wooden rib beam, and the horizontal stabilizers carry their own carbon reinforcement. Want to take it further? The bolt-on rear fuselage section accepts an optional thrust vectoring unit (FJ32511022), which turns the Avanti S into a 3D machine capable of flat spins, tight tumbles and pendulums.
Getting to the air is just as quick. The screw-less quick-release wing system slides each wing onto the carbon spar and locks it in place, and the wing’s electrical connections plug in automatically. The tail goes on with a few screws and a single wiring connection, so the jet goes from box to flight line in no time. Once it’s up, the fully painted green and white livery stands out in any sky, with LED lights at five positions and four sets of formation lights on the tail and fuselage sides. When it comes back down, the electric retracts ride on CNC aluminum shock-absorbing struts with sealed springs and damping grease that soak up firm landings.

Requires:
- 90mm EDF power system: 90mm EDF unit, brushless inrunner motor, and 120A+ ESC
- 6+ channel radio (7+ if using a thrust-reversing ESC) – select a minimum 6 channel radio from our Radio Collection
- 6+ channel receiver (7+ if using a thrust-reversing ESC) – select a minimum 6 channel receiver from our Receiver Collection
- LiPo battery to suit your chosen power system, typically 6S 22.2V or 8S 29.6V with EC5 connector
- Compatible battery charger – select a charger to suit your chosen battery from our Charger Collection
Power System and Electronics Compatibility:
This model is designed to operate using the included ESC and its integrated BEC, which is specifically matched to the onboard electronics. To ensure reliable performance and prevent damage, always power the aircraft’s receiver and electronics through the installed ESC using the main flight battery. Do not use any power source other than the main flight battery to power the model, otherwise damage will occur to the electronics.
The receiver, servos, and other onboard electronics included with this model are rated for a maximum input voltage of 5.5V. When selecting your ESC and power system, verify that the BEC output supplied to the receiver and onboard electronics does not exceed 5.5V. Using a higher voltage will damage the aircraft’s electronics.
