MiG-29 Fulcrum Red Star Twin 80mm EDF Jet V2 with Thrust Vectoring & Gyro – PNP from Freewing – FJ31626PG

The Mikoyan MiG-29 is a legendary twin-engine air superiority fighter that has defended the skies for over a dozen air forces since 1981. Its wide lifting-body fuselage, twin canted tails, and aggressive intake ramps give the Fulcrum one of the most distinctive silhouettes in modern military aviation — a look this large-scale model captures in commanding fashion.

The Freewing MiG-29 Fulcrum Red Star V2 builds on the acclaimed original with a focused round of upgrades that improve durability, realism, and field convenience without changing what made this twin 80mm EDF jet a fan favorite. A redesigned thrust vectoring nozzle now delivers up to 25 degrees of deflection with less than 5% thrust loss, sharpening the aircraft’s already formidable low-speed agility. Two factory-installed EG01 6-axis gyros — one dedicated to flight stabilization, the other to thrust vectoring control — add a new layer of confidence on approach and during precision maneuvering, without taking anything away from the model’s high-performance character.

V2 also introduces Freewing’s quick-release main wing system for faster field assembly and breakdown, along with additional LED navigation lighting across the fuselage spine, belly, and rudder for improved visibility and scale realism in flight. Underneath the striking Red Star livery, the airframe itself has been reinforced: a redesigned nose gear strut and wheel, a CNC metal cover protecting the main electric retracts, and a wooden plate-reinforced wing spar with an updated landing gear mount all combine to give this MiG-29 a stronger foundation for grass-field operation.

Powered by the proven twin 80mm 12-blade EDF and 3658-2150Kv inrunner motor combination, the Red Star V2 delivers the same rapid acceleration and 120mph top speed that made the original a standout — now backed by a more durable airframe and a smoother, more refined performance envelope.

New Vector Thrust Nozzle

New Vector Thrust Nozzle

A redesigned thrust vectoring nozzle delivers up to 25 degrees of deflection with less than 5% thrust loss, sharpening the MiG-29’s already impressive low-speed agility and giving pilots even more control through the vertical.

Confidence at Scale

Confidence at Scale

Two factory-installed EG01 6-axis gyros — one for flight stabilization, one for thrust vectoring control — smooth the flight envelope and add precision on approach, making the Red Star V2 more locked in without dulling any of its high-performance character.

Quick-Release Wings

Quick-Release Wings

Freewing’s quick-release main wing system makes assembly and breakdown faster than ever. Tool-free and straightforward — spend less time setting up and more time flying.

Lit Up and Ready

Lit Up and Ready

Additional LED navigation lighting across the fuselage spine, belly, and rudder improves visibility and adds another layer of scale realism, whether flying at dusk or making a low pass down the runway.

Reinforced Nose Gear

Reinforced Nose Gear

A redesigned nose gear strut and wheel, paired with a CNC metal cover protecting the main electric retracts, deliver tougher, more confident ground handling on grass and hard-surface runways alike.

Scale Ordnance on Removable Pylons

Scale Ordnance on Removable Pylons

The MiG-29’s Archer missiles were a deadly threat in close-in dogfights. A complete scale ordnance package and removable pylons come standard on every Freewing MiG-29.

A Livery That Commands Attention

A Livery That Commands Attention

Finished in a bold Red Star scheme with striking scale markings, the MiG-29 Fulcrum delivers unmistakable presence both on the ground and in the air.

Power System and Electronics Compatibility:

This model is designed to operate using the included ESC and its integrated BEC, which is specifically matched to the onboard electronics. To ensure reliable performance and prevent damage, always power the aircraft’s receiver and electronics through the installed ESC using the main flight battery. Do not use any power source other than the main flight battery to power the model, otherwise damage will occur to the electronics.

The receiver, servos, and other onboard electronics included with this model are rated for a maximum input voltage of 5.5V. When selecting your ESC and power system, verify that the BEC output supplied to the receiver and onboard electronics does not exceed 5.5V. Using a higher voltage will damage the aircraft’s electronics.
